Well, never found my Howard Leights so I decided to order a set of Walkers.

Considering I lost a full size set of muffs I went with Walker Razor XV instead of the buds. Will let y'all know what I think of them.

    Interesting, please do.
Their claim of 31NRR is quite spectacular .
I would like to hear how they do at an indoor range.

I don't have an indoor range. But I'll let you know if they stand up to a 230gr charge weight lighting off.

My reservation with these, is that I wear foam plugs under my Howard Leight Sports...so not sure if they'll be adequate.

I don't wear anything under my Howard Leight Pros, but they're bulky as hell.

Too many concerts back in the day, have mild tinnitus and don't want it to get worse.

I ran only the HL sports and found shooting just about everything to be comfortable. Never felt the need to double up on ear pro.

The HLs were actually a little more comfortable shooting .50 cal. Standard foam plugs (used properly) did a better job of killing the sound, but with the ear canal blocked the pressure wave from the brake seems to travel right in to the sinus cavity. Odd feeling and hard to describe. I prefer that to having ear muffs in the way, but hate not being able to have a conversation.

Hopefully this will cover both bases.

Although, their NRR is better than the PRO muffs, which is very surprising.

At the range today the guy next to me was shooting a very load rifle, so I put in ear plugs under my Howard Leights. First time I got read the riot act for not stopping because I didn't hear the bell.

I moved away from that guy since the next time I would be booted.

The lights on our public range (I have not been there in 5 years) were all up and down the line and even if you were concentrating on your target downrange, you could catch the RED/GREEN lights out of the corner of your eye and know what condition the range was in.

being dressed down for not hearing a bell like that, would probably not sit well with me. It's not your darned fault.

What Range was this? Sounds to me like you need to join MSA.
