Fireformed some 223 today and unloaded some 6.5x47L. Found this gem while unpacking some rando boxes too.

Finished processing 223 brass. My fingers hurt. Ran half through the new wet tumbler last night and running the other half through now. They're not super shiney but I didn't expect them to be. At this rate I'll be up to Deavis level in no time!

Been thinking about a portable reloading bench based off the B&D workmate. After I sourced all the stuff, I said screw it and ordered the Franklin Armory platinum table.

How do you like the new wet tumbler?

It's a lot bigger than I expected but I think the 1000 223 cases was exaggerated slightly. I ran a batch last night and it was a little hazy. Ran a second batch using the same water with just a touch of dawn and it came out blindingly shiny so I redid the first batch. Now just air drying. It's a lot more work than dry tumbling but I was able to do 4 times as much.

Edit - I think it was hazy because I didn't wash the pins first. I heard that was a thing and I planned to but I forgot.

Had some 458 SOCOM rounds that would not chamber all the way. Ran a few through the crimp again, and will shoot those prior to doing all of them.

Got a parts order from Lee. Also invented the 45 short colt. Not quite long colt. Not quite Schofield.

rp-, you know you'll have to run your shiny brass through the dry tumbler to get the sqeeky clean off the brass. And be sure to rinse them well. I rinse three times then to the dry tumbler.

Took apart 18 of the 20 rounds I made up in my first batch of .45 ACP. Charge was too light to cycle the gun.
The easiest way to do that is to always bring a .45 ACP revolver to the range. I can't count the number of screwed up reloads that my Ruger BH has digested just fine, giving me good practice at the range even if it's not with the handgun I intended for that session.

Sometimes hitting things is the best therapy. Just today for example I hit the buy button on a 40 Cal mold. Feel much better.
