Last night I sat at my bench and organized my supply shelf. Had a few boxes of 458 bullets that took up too much room. Found a can for them, and now I can see my 243 and 270 bullets.

    10mm brass arrived.
Bought on MeWe. Finally I can relax when I shoot and can’t find the ejected brass.

I have the same phobia with 10mm brass. My Glock 20 seems to eject them into another dimension because for every 5 I shoot, I lose 4!

Just got back from testing some factory second bullets I got from Midway last month. They are Hornady 140 grain ELD Match, and I’m not sure why they were sold as factory seconds. I have weighed and measured several and they are as consistent as any I’ve bought before. Loaded up 5 rounds each of 4 different powder charges, all within .2 grains of each other, and shot them out of my Savage Precision 6.5 creedmoor. I knew the Hornady 140 BTHP like about 41 grains of the IMR4350, and seated at .020 off the lands, so I was counting on that being a good load. I was right. 41 grains was the sweet spot. 5 rounds at 100 yards.

Sometime factory seconds are just cosmetic. Discoloration or something like that. You got lucky.

I have a couple lb’s of H4831 that I use for .270 hunting loads. But considering I only took 4 shots with my .270 last year, 1 to make sure it was still sighted in, and then I took 2 deer and a hog, I figured I had enough to test it in some 6.5 creedmoor loads. Went to the range today, and all 4 test charges I tried shot extremely well. Battery was dead in my chrono, but the accuracy was great. Worst group was just under 1”. Probably won’t do a lot of testing with this powder, but I want to send a few over the chrono to have the info. Starting to get concerned that I haven’t seen a single primer available in almost 3 months.

Nothing in stock. I was finding them locally, pretty regularly, for a while. They were $6-$10 a pack, and limit 1. And even Midway would get them in stock (for about 2 minutes) if I was willing to pay the shipping plus haz mat for 1 brick. But the last few months I haven’t seen anything available.
