Not half bad? You must be living right! My 2005, 3500 started showing signs of wear at 140,000. Replaced lower balls, upper balls with A arm assembly at 150,000. Maybe they switched parts suppliers for the 06? Front wheel bearings were rumbling last month, just replaced them.Replacing ball joints on my 2006 Dodge 2500 as we speak.
Actually taking a break to cool down and check to see what's going on here.
Almost 400,000 miles on these ball joints. Not half bad for a Dodge!

All of the things that Dodge haters warned me about have been proven so wrong with this old beater.
Even the Transmission that they said would go out between oil changes. I replaced it a couple months ago when it started shifting a little sloppy from first to second. Might of just needed service but with the miles and the fact that I pull a fifth wheel at least 50% of the time, I just decided to swap for a reman.
The 05 has been used to haul heavy loads, only, which is does well. All the usual stuff failed, door locks, window regulator, door hinges, seat motor, radio. But the engine and drive train has taken all the abuse I have thrown at it and its still humming. My biggest vehicle-related regret is selling my 2007 Ram 2500 5.9
