Wow... never really thought of it.
At 41 today, I first qualified for mine 19 years ago at age 22.

I have never pulled the trigger, but I have drawn and saved my own life twice.
In the habit of always grabbing 5 things: my wallet, keys, phone, firearm, and pocket knife.

I've never had to draw, but I've put my hand on the grip of my pistol twice now in tense situations.

I TURNED 60 THIS YEAR NEVER HAD permit because i refuse to pay for permission to exeercise my god -giveen rights
I'm 75 and took the CHL in 2000. I marked ..veteran.., sent off the forms, on line, then got an email requesting my DD 214. Could not find the damn thing and sent a request for another one. It took 1 1/2 years to get it because of that fake virus. As you know, the CHL application is only good for 60 days to get them the correct paper work. I haven't reapplied and most likely won't since you don't need one in Texas and I don't travel outside of Texas.

So, at this point, I agree with what @Axxe55 said.
