    diesel1959,

IF it was me who was running these weapons companies in ANTI-2nd Amendment States, I would consider MOVING OUT. = Making it HURT economically is ONE method of ruining the Leftist/Fascist "leadership".

Am I the only one who would like to see Colt & S&W in TEXAS??
(I suspect that those companies would be welcomed with open arms to Dallas, Waco, San Antonio or most any other TX locale.)

It was brought to our attention by TSRA members that the Mossberg 590 Shockwave cannot be purchased in two states: Texas and Ohio.

With the problem in mind, Senator Craig Estes (R-Wichita Falls) offered a senate amendment to the House bill which corrects existing state law. The addition of the senate amendment caused HB1819 to be returned to the House for concurrence and at 8:55 last night HB1819 with the amendment was accepted! The amendment will allow Texans to purchase this defensive shotgun.

I posted this info (see above post #112)

So something could meet the Texas definition of short barreled firearm and be illegal, unless it doesn't meet the NFA definition. Convoluted, but still a little progress...

Yep. Some dealers will await Sep. 1st out of an abundance of caution. Others, well--they've always felt the Shockwave was already legal in Texas and have made them available already.

What are the differences between a Shockwave and the Gatekeeper?
Asylum Weaponry buys virgin Mossberg 500 receivers from the manufacturer and builds them into the Gatekeeper. So, essentially, the Shockwave is a 590 and the Gatekeeper is a 500. If there are other differences between them, I am unaware of what they are.

I saw online a 20 ga Gatekeeper...it doesn't show on their website and they don't have a contact number...do you know if they still offer one in 20 ga?

Now they're offering a Gatekeeper II built on an 870 but no reference to 20 ga.

Governor signed HB 1819 that's been said to make this legal in TX on 9-1. Does anyone know if the 20 ga version is in production? I've found only one mention of it for sale anywhere.

Thanks for that article from truthaboutguns-didn't realize Rem, too, was making one.

The state law quoted is the old one-good until 1 Sep, when the one quoted in #122 takes effect-

Seems like we're left hanging on the whim and last letter of the ATF-they change their "vision" and we're all screwed. I think I'll be passing, even if they're available in 20 ga. I'm noivous 'bout this one.

I think you can get a conversion sleeve that goes from 12-20 gauge.

You know, I didn't remember those-had one back in the long ago...they add some weight, which wouldn't be a bad thing in a weapon like this-and you'd have the option of two gauges...great tip...thanks...now I'm lusting again.

The Gatekeeper is a demigod named Zuul who works for Gozer. He does evil by posting the body of a human in order to accomplish his mission and is sometimes seen in the form of a gargoyle like dog while tracking the chosen human.

Shockwave is a Dicepticon who works for Megatron. He is capable of causing massive amounts of destruction using a mechanical vehicle containing a large mouth and tentacles with many metal "teeth" which are capable of easily tearing through dirt, rock, and steel very quickly. This also gives him the ability to travel underground.
