The laws concerning Constitutional Carry are growing every day. If gun owners keep their heads on straight and don't screw things up by giving the left more ammo, soon, possiblyvin our lifetimes, we'll see it return to the way it is supposed to be.

There is a time and place for civil disobedience, that time has not yet come in regards to gun laws. Think of the smile on Brandon's face if he had the chance to declare martial law because of widespread gun law violations. They are already calling us deplorables and MAGA terrorists.. They'd love nothing more than for us to prove them right.
Again, that happened en masse a decade ago in Texas - and it resulted ultimately in OC via license, and then a weak form of Constitutional Carry. We still have to move the peg a bit more, but your assertion that the time for civil disobedience has not come is literally the opposite of what happened here in Texas over the last 15 years. OC is here because people decided they'd had enough.

Maybe you missed the massive efforts including civil disobedience that were undertaken here in Texas by folks to get the laws changed. That didn't happen because of people reporting their brothers, that came by united efforts to prove the laws wrong. Sometimes you actually have to deliberately risk arrest or order to be considered to have "standing" in our legal system.

I'm not ashamed to say that I was at the Alamo back in 2013...

    That's great.

Unauthorized carry at schools right now is only going to send one message, and the left will use it against us.

    Pick you battles.

And we voted in legislators who would change the laws...

I'm not arguing that the violations of the Constitution are correct, I'm saying there is a way to change the laws without becoming criminals.

And meanwhile you've expressed great pride in turning in other gun owners.

That's the sticking point here, Alan. You were bragging about spotting somebody OC'ing where he shouldn't have been and immediately alerting the cops. Later you justified it by assigning him nefarious motives which came purely from your own speculation - he could just as easily have been confused about permitless carry and assumed he was in the right.

Yes, we are stuck obeying the laws that are on the books. But that doesn't mean we take it upon ourselves to be enforcers of those laws, which you have done and bragged about doing here. It's great that you're volunteering at your local school. But it's the way you're going about it, and the attitude you've adopted when folks don't see things the way you do, that are unpopular.

Our society has rightly generally allowed for freedom and looked down on ratting people out. In my world you are innocent until proven guilty. I may dislike you choosing to speed, but I don't know why you are speeding, and I wouldn't be the one to intentionally impede someone speeding to get an injured person to the hospital. If I see a holstered gun, I DO NOT PRESUME that that person intends to harm me. Now if I see someone wielding a weapon around a school, I'll make that call, too, but holstered? C'mon man.
