Keep the minimum as is, but ADD a waiting period (1-3 months; I vote for 3), so those who want to unload their stuff NOW, go somewhere else to do it.

You can add a quality (meaningful contribution) check on the posts, but I guess this makes work for somebody to judge posts. I don't think its necessary.

No need to defend, I wasn't attacking...you were just a close example of how everything works just fine like it is, until it doesn't and some folks get their panties all in a twist because there's some FHG twink spreading cheese all over the place.

Agree the extra $15 may not have stopped the scammers, but at least it would be more $$$ for the site.

To me sounds like the issue is weeding out scammers in the classifieds. Trying to impose an arbitrary number of "quality" posts is subjective and onerous for those required to judge.

How about ignore the post count and verify folks by their feedback or more relevant scores? It only affects people buying and selling and is a reasonable indicator of anticipated behavior. Zero feedback? Take more precautions or pass, no need (or justification) for the rush to 25 and associated angst.

Many people never buy or sell here and candidly "quality" posts compared to the numerous, deeply knowledgeable folks on TGT might be a pretty high bar. I'm continuously amazed at the collective knowledge of this group.

Charging to post ads is okay but doesn't accomplish the goal, if I was a scammer I'd pay $10 to buy a little credibility.
