Well, take a look at things from our perspective....starting with your user name. My wife views this forum from time to time - and frankly, that screen name screams "punk kid" in my eyes. I sure hope you don't talk like that around your mother - but even if you do, don't do it around my wife. It's called "respect".
You're young - nothing wrong with that - but it often leads to saying things before you think them through, and while I think most of us understand it, bear in mind that you're dealing with Federal Law - the breaking of which will see you permanently barred from owning guns, voting, ever having much of a life again.....so we take it pretty seriously - and so should you. You're not a kid any more - so "who's gonna know" needs to permanently leave your vocabulary as an excuse to do something illegal, or even thinking about trying to skirt a firearm law. In case you haven't heard, guns aren't real popular with certain segments of our population right now, and comments/attitudes such as you exhibitted really aren't needed.
Now....if you're still reading this - congrats. It means you're mature enough to understand it's nothing personal, and you're even willing to concede there might be validity in some of my comments. If so, let's take the conversation on a much more mature level - we don't want to have someone that's come here for input and advice getting in trouble.
There's several members of this board (over 18, under 21), in fact, that have purchased guns from board members. I'm hoping that they'll be reaching out to you via PM to give you some insight as to how to better fit in with this board - it'll be ultimately to ALL of our advantage - believe it or not, we WANT young gun owners, but they also need to be able to show a reasonable level of judgement and maturity.
Bottom line....ball's in your court, bud - do you have what it takes to pick it up? Sure hope you do!!
