Well now that makes more sense to me now. I did google alconox last night and where their dealers are. Ran across hospitals,vets,etc.. Big network of dealers.

You say a qt. size is more than enough for awhile. So I guess I might oughta hold off on the 300 lb. drum they offer then.

Picked up the 2.5 liter version today and it's not as big as I expected. Also, I could not readily find Alconox in my area(s) so I called them. The guy was extremely helpful but he couldn't find product were I was, admitedly late on Firday afternoon. I asked in a pinch to clean guns what can I use. Basically any powder detergent with phosphate. What I found was TSP (trisodium phosphate). After a few cycles and apparently up to full temp, it has not removed the lube I use but otherwise an initial glance it looks good.

Before I drop the poly frame in, will TSP affect it?

I used the ultrasonic cleaner with TSP on my Advantage Arms .22 conversion. The finish began to come off IMMEDIATELY on dropping it into the tank. Maybe dishwashing soap or another mild detergent would not have affected the finish. YMMV. Personnaly I don't care except that the model info is gone.

The ultrasonic cleaner with TSP did NOT affect the Glock frame.

Hopefully it wasn't aimed at me. My comment about "sub-par" comes from my using TSP on other aluminum parts with no problems.

I just use Dawn in mine. In most cases, all you really need is something to lower the surface tension of the water.

Clearly another case where a stupid smiley would mask my sometimes dry humor.

Sage, I wasnt sure if you were being a little smug assuming I should have known better. Lets face it AA stuff aint top of the line, its a way to shoot cheap.
