Understood. It seems like it will go through and I dont think the GOP will let campuses opt out. Not even sure who would decide that. Chancellor? President? Board of Trustees?

An ex-Bulgarian Police Makarov 9x18mm, loaded with JHP. = When she got her CHL, she didn't want "a pistol"; she wanted MY handgun, so I gave it to her & bought myself another pistol.

Any less lethal options for now till this passes? Pepper spray, striking device? Also there are great classes that are normally free. My wife has gone twice.

Currently, she has "my little friend": an electrified police-issue telescopic baton, with >80,000 volts, that I bought OCONUS.
(Btw, she used it on an aggressive stray dog one evening & she said that the dog FLED the scene QUICKLY, HOWLING in pain.)

What ammo in the mak? I've found some silver bear jhp for my ij70. I shot 500 rounds of it and not a single failure.

Frankly, I'm not sure what she bought this go-round. - I think Silver Bear, maybe??
(Silver Bear is what I routinely bought BUT I've not had problems with ANY ammo in mine.)

Fwiw, the Bulgarian Police model Mak is "really un-finicky" about ammo. My old Mak even feeds the DIRT CHEAP mil-surp stuff out of Albania well - Otoh, some of the other 9x18mm handguns are REALLY particular about which JHP that they will feed reliably.

I talked to my daughter this evening (about dinner this Friday evening) & while we talked I asked her what she has recently bought in ammo for the little MAK. = Hornady Critical Defense 95grain JHP, 25 rounds per box.
(She ordered several boxes, off the web for 23.oo each plus S&H)

Coincidentally, I also use Hornady Critical Duty 135grain JHP in my Sig-Sauer P225, BUT for about HALF the price per round of 9x18MAK JHP. = 23.50 per 50 rounds plus S&H.
