Loved those in high school because I could never lock my keys in my Rambler. I just pushed in the wing window, shoved my whole arm inside, and grabbed the door handle. Were they for ventilation, too?

Wife has a Honda hybrid. Great gas mileage but now the worry of two powertrain sources. Fast acceleration since the front wheels use ICE and rear uses electric. But I wonder if they did the best electric power management. You still have a 12vt battery that powers unknown functions and doesn't get charged in electric mode. First 12vt battery died at 12 months and a load test on the replacement shows it's aging faster than it should. Wet cells for some reason so I'll replace with an AGM in the future.i mentioned to him to check out the hybrids instead of a full evinstead!
Got my license in 1974, never owned a vehicle with them.
They should have never stopped putting these windows in cars. I never had a car with AC until I moved to Houston in 78, never had one without it since.
And now there are all-electric flying cars.

I’ve started seeing those new Amazon vans out in the wild. Odd ducks for sure; they look very cartoonishI still see a lot of Teslas on the road. Lots of Amazon EV vans (made by Rivian) too. The range drop is probably a lot worse in the cold than the heat.
"Optimal" temp range for Lithium Ion Batteries is between 50 and 110F. The hardest abuser on those batteries in Texas is probably the AC on full for the entire work day with that giant sliding door opening or being open at all times. Anything below 50 is when degridation of the battery capacity may start. Even then if its just 30-40 in the winter, they're likely seeing about a 15-20% loss in range. That doesn't seem to be dissuading Nordic drivers from being the highest per capita buyers of EVs.Any updates on how the EVs are doing in the heat? I'd expect a significant drop in range as the temperatures climb.
Might beg the question; if it looks weird but works well, is it actually weird? The are kinda ugly though haha.I’ve started seeing those new Amazon vans out in the wild. Odd ducks for sure; they look very cartoonish
But that averages to just 250 miles/day which is clearly within the range of many EV’sI didn't drive the last two days, today I drove 500 miles. I wouldn't get an EV personally.

I thought I posted a video on this subject a while ago but I can't find it so here it is again. Bottom line - They look odd but really seem like they're perfect for their intended purpose. I found this video worth the time but I'm a nerd like that. Also, I always watch this guy on 2X speed so the video only wastes half as much time.I’ve started seeing those new Amazon vans out in the wild. Odd ducks for sure; they look very cartoonish
Amazon probably doesn't have the funds to replace their fleet at once.I have not seen any in my area. Probably too many hills for them to be effective.
Not to mention the funds to add all those chargers at each distribution center. Plus possibly adding additional transformers for all that extra power.Amazon probably doesn't have the funds to replace their fleet at once.
