The problem I have: is when this narrative of background checks is being pushed. At least these last two shooters obtain their guns legally. It just props up the left wing false narratives.

I can't be a part of watering that slippery slope. Now Cruz is suggesting that we strengthen background checks, so some of this doesn't slip through IE Southerland Springs shooter with Military charges. Which I think is fine, because it failed us at that point.

So, since we all know that this will happen again, and that how background checks are currently being done, had nothing to do with these last two shootings; where will you draw the line? Magazine capacity? Semi Autos? Where is your threshold?

I'm just curious, because if we're gonna pass laws based on falsehoods and most will accept that, I just wonder when people will say, "okay it's too late but now we're mad"!
It's harder to get them back after they're passed, there won't be a sunset this time, you can bet on it.
Or we can just say, well the other side is worse, at least Trump is lubing it up first for us......damn.

I know this is preaching to the choir, just a little frustration at the angle.

It doesn't matter how terrorists obtain their weapons. No amount of legislation will protect the people from future terrorist attacks. You must not rely on the government to protect you, you must do it yourself. The people should be encouraged to carry a gun, unless they can afford to pay a security detail.

I think you missed my point. I agree though.

My threshold is not another damn inch..............

    They want "compromise"...............

What are they giving? Government isn't giving up anything. The Politicians aren't giving up anything. The Left/Dems aren't giving up anything.

Only law abiding American Citizens are giving anything..........

Compromise only inches us closer and closer to socialism/communism, because we alway compromise to the Lefts/Dems demands...............

    Not another inch.............
The ironic thing is, the media has been trying to drive a wedge between us and Trump for years, and yet it's Trump that will do it himself. I hope he doesn't and it's one of his political maneuvering postures. Hopefully I'm wrong on this one, but my gut tells me otherwise.
I suggest we put our energy into making our beliefs known to those that would make the laws rather than scream about laws that haven't come to past or raising our hackles at people with the same goals.
Yes, remind the people that are supposed to represent us that our rights belong to us and not the government.
