Trump is no friend to the 2nd Amendment. Every so called compromise is another step to Socialism. Voting for he who will hurt me the least is just losing rights and freedoms one step at a time.
So you'd rather one of the demoncrats be your president? Yeah, that's real logical.

I'm just saying I am damned tired of the lessor of two evils. There must be a line we will not cross, and a candidate willing to not cross it. We are close to it not mattering anymore. We are not winning the America we once knew, it's slipping away one PC bit at a time

That line for me is requiring a background check if I sell a gun to my next-door neighbor. Guns are private property, and Americans (all people really) have the right to private property, granted to them in the Ten Commandments- "Thou shall not steal". And the right to protect themselves and their families- "Thou shall not kill".

I have a grip, pal. Are you one of those government-can-do-no-wrong types ? A government shill perhaps ? And are you advocating background checks if I sell a gun to my next-door neighbor ? If you are, you are taking away from my and my neighbor's rights to private property.
Would recommend you read more of his posts before drawing ridiculous conclusions.

As soon as I see someone throw out the term “government shill” I know they have lost the plot.

Every single election is about the lesser or two evils. Every. Single. One. I don't give a **** if it's the general in the presidential election with 100M+ voters or your HOA with 50.

So tired of the self-righteous whining and complaining from those thinking whoever they vote for should reflect and do every single thing they have in their mind and they stand for....or else. Or else what? Bernie? GMAFB. That candidate doesn't fucking exist in the real world.

Voted for many presidential candidates over the years. None of them perfect. However I will say looking back that this is perhaps the best I've voted for despite all his faults.

Trump is the clear choice for any pro 2A voter, unless you have other issues you quarrel with him on where you would rather support the left, whether open borders, 70% tax rate, government takeover of healthcare and energy or any other myriad of topics. Then you'll just have to weigh what's most important.

There must be a line we will not cross, and a candidate willing to not cross it. If there is a legitimate election (?) and Trump is NOT on Or or Ca ballot, it matters NOT which Dem. wins. Congress is running things and will continue to do so. Solution, VOTE Rep. There is virtually NO way citizens can affect congress members other than replacing sort of bad with good. Let the really bad get in and NO chance at all. Look at Ca!

Military service experience should be a new Amendment to our Constitution. A requirement to hold office in Congress and the Presidency.

    We need a red-white-and-blue party.
I almost typed "Libertarians should be the white party...between red and blue." But then I realized how easy the libs would manipulate that. So I guess they have to be the purple party.

There will always be the lesser of two evils because nobody agrees with the evils. On this forum, we basically all want gun rights. So anyone infringing is evil. The least infringement is the least evil. If I ran for office and I said I am strong on immigration and strong on gun rights but didn't think religious icons had a place on govt property as a "freedom of religion" issue...but still was okay with school prayer as an optional time to pray and was okay with invocations at school games... I'd still be the lesser of two evils to a Bible thumper who though I was denying the religious foundation of the country.

So, I say it's not about the lesser of two evils but just picking the most agreeable candidate. Trump is far and away the best candidate we've had in a long time. I don't like him caving on bump stocks even though I don't like them. I don't like that his DOJ hasn't gotten their shit together on NFA forms despite a dozen emails from me. I don't like him even hinting that silencers "might get looked at" when I'm one of the top sellers in the Houston area and my livelihood depends on their sales. But despite all that, he's so much better than anyone else on either side of the isle. I wish he talked more like Reagan, or even be more poised like Mitt "Brutus" Romney. But I'll take him with all his faults over anyone else. I'm not exactly gay for him (I'm in my safespace...you can't chastise me for that), but I'll go so far as to say we're lucky to have him. Who's worth 2-10 billion and gives it up to get the country on the right track? He's already famous and powerful and rich. He didn't need to do this.
