    Haha, that was at the top of my list. I like bills of sale as a way to wash my hands after a transaction. I've sold cars where the buyer has gone on to rack up parking tickets and my only recourse was a BOS!
    Well, if you make it to the point of being able to sell on the forum, please make sure you point that out in you ads to sell. Pretty important information.

    Haha, that was at the top of my list. I like bills of sale as a way to wash my hands after a transaction. I've sold cars where the buyer has gone on to rack up parking tickets and my only recourse was a BOS!
    I used to think it was a good idea. I had gotten complacent from my former state. There's a lot of valuable points on this forum if you search the topic. VERY logical points to why a BOS is bad.

    Because Texas doesn't require third party bg checks, I don't find it ethical for private party to collect sensitive information. Food for thought.

    Plus I'd add if he did put something up for sale and requires a BOS, I'd hazzard a guess that probably at least 95% of the members will totally ignore his ad.
