Okay I appreciate your opinion.No, it's not just my opinion. It's the general consensus among the active members here. Nor is it my opinion that there is no legal basis for requiring a bill of sale. That's a statement of fact.

Someone trying to justify requirements for a private sale that have no legal justification does. If you want to go that route, just pay the extra $20 an go through an FFL. Then you can have a whole 4473 filled out, and get your proof of the sale for the IRS.

I don't think he will find anyone on TGT willing to agree to his terms for the purchase/sell of firearms.Some folks just have to have it their way and feel they are in the right. No amount of logic will dissuade them. I doubt we will see any sales posted from the involved parent/trainer
