    Gunz are icky.
A nifty caliber you might consider in a new revolver is the .327 Federal Magnum.
The factory loading is quite stout on its own.
You can fire .32S&W, .32S&W long, .32H&R magnum ammo in it.
And the nifty part is you can fire .32acp ammo in it too.

Shame S&W dropped it. But a Single Seven looks fun.

Maybe I’m a little weird, but this damn gun makes me feel so good! When I got my first 1911, I remember being really happy, but having this in my collection takes it to another level! I texted a pic to my brother, who has the Model 28 with an 8 5/8” barrel, and he’s dying to get this outta my hands! NOT HAPPENING! Not a great pic, I couldn’t get any of my others to post, but here it is!

Looks to be in phenomenal condition. That blued steel looks wet, nice score!

How well do the pachmayr grips mitigate recoil?

Pretty good. Gun kicks obviously, but it didn’t bother my hands at all, I coulda shot all day, if it was a little cheaper. I ordered some wood grips from Altamont, mostly for looks. For shooting, the Pachymar will definitely be on there for now.

If cant decide between 29 or a Redhawk
Cant go wrong with one of each.

Got the exact same 29-2 as yours. Shot it a couple days back with the factory wood and it hurts, only put about a cylinder through. Might pick up a pair of the pachmayrs like yours has just for shooting.

Ironically I preferred the Redhawk 44 mag factory wood over the pachmayrs. Funny how grip shape and a few ounces more weight can change everything more so than grip material.

The Pachmayr grips on mine are all one piece, and have a pretty thick layer of rubber inside the plastic grip, that wraps around the butt of the gun.

You guys are only exploring one tunnel in the revolver rabbit hole. Don’t even take a peek down the Ruger single action tunnel in the rabbit hole. I’m warning you.

Trying not to scare him. With the Wrangler being so inexpensive, that's a quick descent into madness.

Or, limiting my comment to single actions, you can just skip over Ruger and go straight to Freedom Arms.

Or if you want to make your life not just expensive but really difficult, there are plenty of single action makers who have either left that market or gone defunct: Hammerli, Texas Longhorn, et. al.

Hell let's just send him down the road into Korth revolvers while we're at it.
Hey, I was limiting it to single actions and I thought I did a good job of holding myself back by not mentioning Picra.

If you wanna talk double actions, we can always fire up the Korth v. Manurhin v. old-S&W-worked-over-by-a-great-PPC-gunsmith debate.

Y’all are really trying to get me! I never imagined how much fun it was gonna be to shoot that 44. I was literally laughing out loud at times! I had a box of hand loads, and they were spitting fire 3’ down range! If I would have been closer to the target it would have burnt up! Best was when the people on either side of me were staring at me when I left, with a huge smile on my face!

    I just picked up a custom holster for a SW PC, 2 3/4, 357, 8x

I really really REALLY like this wheel gun.

But I'm kind of a revolver junkie ...
