Never really got into .40 cal. I still shoot the 10mm occasionally tho. Same thing, right? :) The .40 cal, may decline in popularity, but will not become totally obsolete. Actually, the 10 is even making a bit of a come back.

Just wondering....I see .40 Pistols around so much and for sooo cheap....

    Is this a dying/dead round?

    Thoughts????
Not dying or dead, wife and I are both .40 shooters. She carries it daily, I carry 9mm, but shoot .40 each week, and all of our home defense guns are .40. Love it!!!

I've been trying not to but my CZ75B keeps calling me to get out of my gun safe. It's the only .40 S&W I own, and probably my last, but I do shoot it very accurately...so it's a keeper.

The juice isn't worth the squeeze anymore with the proliferation of better more advanced 9mm ammunition.

So wouldn't the same advancements make .40 ammo even better also?

That and the fact it is a millimeter wider should negate that comparison.

I've got a g22 3rd gen honestly I haven't fired it in years. It's good to keep around in a ammo drought I was able to buy 40. I'm mainly 9mm now.
