Frosted bullets are fine. Check a couple with your calipers and make sure they're bigger than what you need so you can still size them down. As long as they're the right size they'll shoot. You might not notice match grade accuracy. Is casting considered reloading?
How about crappy casting? That’s what I did today!
What causes frosted bullets? They started out shiny and wrinkly. I dipped the end of the die thing in the vat and they got better then worse pretty fast.
I went from ~780 to 850 and they frosted up.
I shut it down and took my son in law to the range.
Now we’re bowling and my day still sucks!
Jesus Christ man. Are you pushing Mach 7 with those?morning, got the new TTSX 100gr barnes bullet today.
see if the bullets shoot to the same point of aim
as the 100gr nosler. to b used in a 6.5 rem. mag.
If they are wrinkled, then ya. Throw them back in. Sometimes you might get one that doesn't fill all the way, throw those back as well.Yes, frosty all over, check.

Thinking about getting into casting since I'm going to be spending a lot of time at home. Not sure I really have a good outdoor place for it though.
