Nobody's said 6.5 Grendel. I shoot that pretty frequently. I love that round.
But how often do you shoot 7.5x55mm is what the folks at home really want to know.

I don't consider it offbeat because I shoot it all the time.......torturing you.But how often do you shoot 7.5x55mm is what the folks at home really want to know.

Now your just braggin'.
Brass is available and I cast bullets from an original Winchester die...low pressure so the brass lasts and lastsUsed to shoot a friends 218 bee at times. Wonder how people come up with ammo for those now?? Friend died so can't ask him.
My 8x56R, 7.62x38R, and 9.3x57 are all pretty off beat. None of them hold a candle to 10.4x38R known more commonly as 41 Swiss. It's a heck of a process to make the brass out of 8mm Lebel, the rifle has to be converted from rimfire to centerfire, and did I mention it's a black powder cartridge?
If you don't reload, the round is a no go. I think some place was making it a few years back, but IIRC, it was over $100 for a box of 20. I don't remember if it was rimfire or centerfire. You can buy centerfire brass for about $2 a piece.
I have a couple of muzzle guns....even a flinter!A blackpowder brother from another mother.
Beware brother.
Around here us BP guys are pilgrims in an unholy land.
