A Rossi .22 Cal. Revolver. No, I do not still have it, sadly. I bought it at the Wal-Mart down the street from my house back when Sam was still alive and they thought made in America was a good thing. I sold it to a friend many years later when I was short on cash and had few valuable possessions other than the Rossi and a Colt .380 Government Model. I kept the Colt a while longer.

Mine was a S&W M&P40 that was a trade-in from the Oklahoma State Park Rangers. It's eched on the side of the slide. I still have it but hardly ever shoot it since I moved over to shooting 9mm.

From Carter's Country in Houston 1977.

Still have the shiny blue box with the little black brush.

Shot many thousands of rounds out of that thing.

While studying as a student, bored & in need of a diversion, I would pull the 22lr bullet, pour out ~95% of the powder and push the shell onto one of those tan gum erasers to create little rubber bullet and shoot it at paper targets in my apartment in Houston.

I have a much older and no where near as nice version of that same gun with the 9mm cylinder as well. I got mine about three decades ago and it had been rid hard and put up wet to dry at some time in the past. Has a small amount of pitting on the barrel and one side of the cylinder where it probably sat wet in a holster. It was also reblued in some past life but still serviceable and a really fun shooter.

I have two other J. P. Sauer Western Marshalls; one in 44 Mag and one 45LC.

From what I have learned over the years they were most likely made in the 1960s and imported by Hawes.

I think it was the s&w 5906 and still have.

Me too, only it was the Model 59 and I bought it used from a pawn shop. Sold it when I moved into a People's Republic. I really didn't need to and cannot remember the reasoning behind that move and all I can say is I wish I hadn't.

My first gun I bought brand new was a Beretta 96FS and yes I still have it.

First one I bought (1985) was a Rossi 5 shot .38, that became my daughters first handgun. She still has it. First one I shot was Dad's Iver Johnson that he bought NIB in the 60's. Still have that and the box it came in.

Love those pistols. I've got a couple from that series myself.

My first pistol was my dad's that he gave to me. High Standard Double Nine. Still have it. The first I bought was a CZ-52 I think. Sold it long ago but I have since replaced it.
That was my first pistol, too... was missing front site, and pearl gripped chipped in a corner. It was my grandfather's before my dad got it.

    First I bought was a RIA 1911.

Still have the double-nine, sold the RIA years ago.

    H&R 939 Ultra Sidekick .22 revolver
Took over a year to get it back after the gunsmith at the shop took it all apart then quit, leaving all the parts scattered around among others. I broke the main/hammer spring from overuse.

Anyway, turns out the gunsmith was very good at disassembly.

    A word of caution here.
Do NOT EVER take one of those H&R revolvers apart!
There are eleventybazillion itty-bitty farking parts inside.

Please do not ask me how I know this.
