    Tacos - it's Tuesday!
We had chicken strips from Grocery store deli and pasta salad. We had a wedding in the family last weekend. When we got home on Sunday afternoon, we found hot water heater had spring a leak in the bottom of the tank. (it was just 22 years old hee hee hee) I managed to get enough parts to plug the disconnected flex lines at the tank. That allowed cold water to work. Monday I bought a 40 gal NG water heater and installed it. As with all plumbing projects it takes 3 trips to the hardware store to fix a plumbing problem. Everything is working again.

This afternoon I made a batch of Corned Beef pickling brine water, trimmed the fat off of a brisket I bought on Friday. It is under the brine water with the excess fat sheets floating over it. And there is a ceramic kiesh dish holding everything under water. Will turn the corned beef once a day for 5 days.. It will soak in refrigerator. It's a great recipe
