Shoulda got a Hattori Hanzō blade.
Set of Hanzo hair scissors cost about what was originally spent on my blade. ( my barber has a set of them)

I am very happy with it, and the modern metallurgy that went into its design. It is a cutter for sure.

When a man reaches a certain level of refinement he appreciates quality over quantity.
So shooting black powder single actions is quality shooting?

Strange that most of the world moved on over 100 years ago. I guess the secret is safe.

I just got this the other day. It is a .22 black powder. Uses #11 caps. It came with 50 rounds of bullets. I plan on using .22 pellets or #4 lead shot once I shoot these. Paid $200 shipped from buds
BTW not making fun of your firearm. I have the same in 22 Magnum.

I just enjoy getting these old coots riled up. Some of them were around when the single action revolver met black powder and they must defend their honor.

Now your foot in the photo? You just brought that ridicule on yourself.

I'm honored. Never been called a coot before.

Here's one with the holster. Only paid $35 for this one. Really nice leather.

Lol. I had to look at the pic. I didn’t know my foot was in there.

I didn’t buy it with the intentions of shooting it a bunch as I can barely grip it to shoot it. But the fact that it’s so small and black powder is why I had to to buy one.

I can shoot my old armys relatively fast, using my flask with a 30gn spout, and a capper. It’s impossible to over charge a ruger old army with black powder. They can handle all the black powder you can fit and still seat a ball or bullet. If you’ve never shot black powder revolvers, or your only experience is with Italian replicas, find a Ruger old army and I guarantee you’ll love it.

I don’t put a bunch of crisco or bore butter over my balls like all the people on YouTube. I think they’re paranoid, and chain fires are super rare. I’ve shot thousands of rounds through cap n ball revolvers and have never had a chain fire. If I was super paranoid about loading them I doubt I’d have as much fun as I do. I only use lube on the wad or patch.

Get a Ruger old army. I guarantee you’ll love it.

    You shouldn't bet on that.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy shooting any firearm. The mess and hassle of black powder kills it for me to own. I don't even like single action revolvers.

I have owned both and they didn't last long. I should have rented.

    Gunz are icky.
NAA sells a larger finger groove wood grip for the mini.
I have one on mine. Makes it much easier to hold and shoot.
You can get the same grip in black rubber.
Way back in the forums is a thread I posted about taking one apart.
Tearing one down voids the warranty.
They can be a real treat to get back together properly.

    Enjoy the new cap&ball.
    Eagerly awaiting the range report.

And pay no attention to that Dawico person.
He drank one too many bottles of Hoppe's.

I’ve seen those grips, as well as the fold out grip. I’ll probably just keep it the way it is. I wish I could have found the larger “the earl” model in black powder, as id maybe buy the grip for it. Hell I may still buy one when I find one in stock. If I’m able to Saturday, I’ll be shooting it, and will report back. I may just shoot it in my garage. I shoot my single sixes in there. I made a bullet trap Out of plywood, cardboard and some duct tape, but I only shoot colibre quiets in there. I imagine if I put a small charge in there it shouldn’t be much louder.
