Dam, after all these years you are saying that my pet unicorn does not exist?
Nope, it does exist, and I can vouch for anyone who doesn't believe us.

Why does anyone need a Corvette?
It's a slippery slope once you start singling out what others can and can't have - as most everybody in here is aware.
Pffffft... Not one thing about zombies
Actually, you should have said "Why does anyone need a unicorn?"
"Assault weapon" is a fictional phrase, just as the unicorn is a fictional animal.
My freedom requires NO justification to anyone.
"I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal?" -Dennis Leary
To reiterate, folks:
"Assault weapon" is a fictional phrase coined by the antis (the same as "high capacity magazine").
Nobody actually has one.
Nobody actually owns one.
Please stop confusing it with "assault rifle", which is an actual term and means "A rapid-fire, magazine-fed automatic rifle designed for infantry use."
Every time you use the term "assault weapon" (or "high capacity magazine"), you give the antis another pat on the back.
Maybe we should use the term storm rifle, since these types of rifles owe their lineage back to the Sturmgewehr?
Assault rifle is a more correct translation.
I dont use an assualt weapon, as these are illegal for citizens to have as a general rule. I use a modern sporting rifle that goes bang once with each pull of the trigger. I like the fact that I can change uppers for differnt shooting situations, target and game. I don't have a M-4, M60, M2 you see mr story writer you get the whole story wrong. It's just a modern sporting rifle, no an assualt rifle, please get your story right.
The whole "sporting" terminology is such a joke. That whole push to define guns in a "sporting" theme, as well as the federal code out there having to do with "sporting purposes" is all a big joke. Sporting is a fun thing you can do with some guns, but it is not a valid reason. Bottom line is, guns in general are made for one thing and one thing only.......KILLING. Lets not beat around the bush. AR15's are made for killing, namely the badguys, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I think the whole "sporting" terminology does us all a great disservice as it allows people to mistakenly think that sporting is a necessary justification for firearms. This allows some people to forget that not all killing is bad, and sometimes the good guys (us) need to kill the bad guys, which is not always a bad thing. That's all the justification we need, even though we really don't need any since it is a civil right after all.
+2. Going along with "sporting" terminology is a trap. It's a weapon. The whole "sporting" terminology is such a joke. How do you figure?
